Do I need a key?
No. The keyless tier allows 2 requests a second and 1,000 credits a day per IP. Streams, webhooks and SQL need a key. Get a free key by signing in with a Sui wallet.
How much history is there?
All of it, since genesis, on every plan. Plans differ in volume, speed and streaming, not in how far back you can read. See History.
How fresh is the data?
The live tail runs about a second behind the chain. Every answer carries an asOf field with the checkpoint it is true at.
What does a call cost?
Each method has a price in credits, most between 1 and 10. Errors are free. See Credits.
What happens when I run out of credits?
On the Free plan the API stops and returns out_of_credits. Prepaid USDC credits never expire and keep it going. Paid plans keep going and bill extra credits.
Can I pay without an account?
Yes. A call that needs payment gets a 402 with USDC offers. See x402 payments.
Can an AI agent use tide?
Yes. Add the MCP server, or let the agent get its own key with one signed call.
Does tide sign or send my transactions?
tide never signs. It builds unsigned transactions and checks them, and your wallet signs.
Can I get a price or balance at a past date?
Yes. Balances, holdings and holders can be read at a checkpoint or time. See History and holders at any date.
Can I run my own queries?
Yes, with SQL over every transaction, event, object version and balance change. See SQL.
